Alix Makencie

Hi, I’m Alix Makencie! With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master’s in Developmental Disabilities from Nova Southeastern University, I have extensive experience working with individuals of all ages—from children to adults—across various settings. My expertise spans vocational evaluations, behavior therapy, case management, neuropsychological assessments, and more. As a passionate professional proficient in both English and Spanish, I’m committed to helping individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their goals.

Our Services

Comprehensive Vocational Evaluations

We assess an individual's skills, interests, and cognitive strengths to guide career choices, educational paths, and personal growth.

Situational Assessments

Real-world, community-based assessments to evaluate job readiness and on-site performance.

Intake & Paperwork Assistance

Helping to fill out VR referral. (Note: We offer guidance—not legal or official benefits counseling.)

Abilities Coach

We provide personalized coaching and support for teens and adults with developmental disabilities, helping them build independence, confidence, and practical life skills.

My services include:

Job Readiness & Employment Coaching Support with resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and building workplace skills.
Social & Communication Skills Coaching to build friendships, understand social cues, set healthy boundaries, and express needs effectively.
Executive Function Support Strategies to improve focus, planning, organization, and managing daily challenges and transitions.

Why Vocational Evaluations Matter

Vocational evaluations can feel daunting, but the benefits are transformative. By assessing key areas like personality, values, interests, and cognitive proficiency, I help clients make informed decisions about their career paths, education choices, and long-term goals.

Whether you’re a parent helping your teen choose subjects or a business looking to build a strong team, vocational evaluations provide clarity and direction for personal and professional success.

All services are tailored to everyone’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. I work in a supportive, respectful, and neurodiversity-affirming environment, partnering with families and individuals to promote real-life growth and success.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alix of MakencieSolutions was a consummate professional, who seemed to enjoy her work as much as I enjoyed taking the battery of tests. The testing was for maybe 4-5 hours over teleconference, and she was attentive, encouraging & professional. She has a great knowledge of her subject matter & is friendly, kind, and performs well at her job. Would recommend to anyone, she works diligently & thoroughly and would also make a great life coach or counselor as I'm sure she has the correct credentials. She was refreshing to work with even though the testing was exhaustive. Would Highly Recommend!
